Top 6 Sports to improve your cardiovascular activity!

If you wish to maintain a healthy body, sports which are heavy in cardio will help tone your body, burning up a lot of the fat and turning it into slim muscle. These following 5 sports will keep you having fun whilst also training you into becoming the fitness machine you aspire to be!

1. Running

Jogging will help condition your heart but it won't give you the benefits of a high impact workout. In order to maximise your calorie burning, try to do sprints for 20-30 minutes to keep your calories burning even after you have stopped your session.

2. Cycling

Cycling is a great way to burn some calories. Depending on how intense you are going, you can burn from 200-500 calories in 30 minutes of exercise. Once you get the hang of cycling, make sure you add the resistance to amp up the intensity and maximize your calorie burn.

3. Swimming

Swimming is one of the only sports which utilizes all the muscles in your body at the same time. Whilst also being extremely fun, swimming can help strengthen your endurance allowing you to do other sports for longer at a higher intensity.

4. Ice Hockey

Ice hockey is one of the most cardio intensive sports out. This sport required players to speed around on the ice at high speeds for 20 minutes without stopping. This non stop workout improves flexibility, endurance and coordination whilst also being fun and competitive.

5. Soccer

Soccer is similar to hockey where the player is required to always stay in motion in order to keep pace with the game. There are many shifts between jogging and sprinting which help increase aerobic capacity and improve cardiovascular health. Soccer also improves coordination through ball control, heightens the players flexibility and increases their stamina.
